2016 Triumph Thruxton for sale in Harmony, PA
2016 Triumph Thruxton Thruxton Only 10 miles on this bike.
Salvage auction fresh.
The Thruxton is born of the caf racer culture that dominated motorcycling in the 1960s.
Back then British twins usually Bonneville engines were used to form the basis of home built bikes.
Used to race from one caf to another they featured extensive modifications such as dropped bars single seats and upswept exhausts.
To this day we've kept many of these styling cues for the modern Thruxton.
Named after the high speed British circuit where Triumph enjoyed great success in production racing it follows in the tire tracks of the legendary 1960's Thruxton T120R.
And just like those caf racers of the 60's the modern Thruxton is Bonneville based but nowadays our engineers have made sure it rides like a modern Triumph twin.
So it's dependable enough for everyday use easy and fun to ride yet still evokes the classic caf racer look.
This one is scuffed lightly all around.
The worst damage is on the tank on the left side.
It is sliced open.
I would weld it shut and just blend the sides or paint the coves a different color so you can keep the cool original stripe down the tank intact.
The pipes are scuffed and both cases.
The cases could be sanded out and recleared or polished.
A great deal with a little bit of clever repairing will yield you a way cool modern cafe racer that will stop turn and handle like a modern bike should.
you could try to build your own out of some 70's or 80' P.
O.
S.
and it would cost you twice this money take you a month of sundays and when it's all said and done it wouldnt work near as well as this one does.
Get it while you can.
At Addams Autocycle we have been here for 35 years have an A
rating with the b b b and credit cards are accepted.
