The Recreation Manager oversees all areas of the Recreation and Activities departments.
The Recreation Manager must be able to provide exceptional customer service to our guests while overseeing the daily operations of the outlets that include the Bowling area, Movie theater, and Indoor & Outdoor Activities.
The Recreation Manager is responsible for creating a schedule of activities based on projected occupancy, special events, and holidays as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Develop, schedule, and supervise crafts, activities and special events for guests.
Coordinate with other departments when special events and/or groups are anticipated to develop special activity schedules.
Maintain assigned areas and equipment; Including distributing equipment and instructing guests on proper equipment usage.
Maintains proper and suitable recreation areas.
Verifies cash totals and change supply at the beginning and end of each shift; follows proper cash register operation procedures; accurately accounts for all monies received and placed in the drop safe at the end of the day.
Requests proper identification from guests for facility usage in order to avoid abuse/misuse of resort facilities and equipment.
Uses equipment according to established procedures.
Follows proper service and maintenance schedules for equipment and activity surfaces.
Order supplies and maintain inventory.
Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
Respond to all guest requests, complaints, and follow ups.
Provides a sociable and professional atmosphere at all times.
Maintains knowledge of all resort facilities in order to enhance guest satisfaction.
Instructs guests on safety procedures; Explains and witnesses completion of Release and Waiver of Liability forms; disciplines violations of established procedures.
Issue activity and safety equipment.
Practices safety procedures in the performance of all duties.
Scheduling of all associates in the Recreation & Activities departments.
Ensure all associates welcome our guests and are following policies in accordance with Hotel S.
O.
P's Train and coach associates on operating procedures, customer service training, and ways to improve the department.
Assist with payroll and administrative duties.
Follows proper key sign-out and sign-in procedures.
Communicate with management and other departments as needed to address issues as necessary.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
